Description

The MycroCool controller allows standard air-conditioning units to operate below their typical 60 °F limit by safely managing freeze protection and compressor cycling. This makes it possible to use consumer AC units for specialized cooling applications. MycroCool monitors room temperature and an optional fin temperature sensor to detect icing conditions. If freezing is detected, the controller temporarily disables the compressor to allow defrosting. To protect the AC unit, MycroCool also enforces a five-minute minimum delay between compressor cycles.
